In My Honest Opinion  Astrocenter.com is a truly global astrology site, with a lot of Western astrology, and some Chinese and Vedic astrology, available in four languages – English, French, German and Spanish. This is one of the main astrology sites you should visit, whether you are looking for the basic sun sign horoscope, or a personalized report based on your birth time and date.

There’s a lot of free information on this site, including a free horoscope email (daily and weekly), plus a new video horoscope feature that uses Flash. There’s lots here. Check it out.

In my view, this site is intended for the millions of people out there who want astrological information without worrying about the astrological symbolism; ‘just the straight scoop, ma’am, and no nonsense to get in the way.” I make this observation because the Astrocenter personalized reports that I have read are generally good narrative without divulging the underlying calculations or the name of the astrologer who wrote the piece. So if you like your weather reports straight and matter of fact without the underlying science, you’ll like this site and its reports just fine.

Some sites are closely identified with one or more famous astrologers. The largest sites tend to have teams of astrologers.  Team approach

I encourage you to explore non-Western astrological traditions, and compare your non-Western horoscope to your Western horoscope. Chinese horoscopes are popular in the West right now.  Western, Chinese and Indian/Vedic Astrology

My bias – an astrology site should be well-organized, well-maintained and easy to understand, with good writing.  A large corporate site with global presence. There’s lots to explore here.  The reports are usually well-written and attractively presented.

No site is perfect. And if a site is really bad, I won’t even review it.  If you’re interested in learning astrology, you will be frustrated by some of the reports you order here because they often don’t tie the underlying astrological data to the explanatory astrological text. This editorial policy will not further your understanding of astrology and may frustrate you as you try to figure out what astrological phenomenon the text is related to.

I also don’t like the fact that the site doesn’t remember you – when you order a new report, you have to re-enter your birth data, but that’s a minor inconvenience.

You can get free daily horoscopes and birth chart reports on certain sites, although the information is typically abbreviated. You usually have to pay to get a complete personalized report.  NA

You should know who writes your astrological report so you can order more reports written by the same person if you like the writing style. And vice versa.  No. It seems to be the policy here not to identify the writers.

My review is based on a sampling. If you get a report you can’t understand because it is written badly, please let me know so I can warn others.  Generally, yes, although some need editing.

If you’re just learning astrology, you will progress more rapidly if you see the astrological data alongside the accompanying text. If you know astrology, this enables you to check the writer’s interpretation of the data. No. If you’re not interested in learning more about astrology, you may prefer this format.
