In My Honest Opinion  This is one of my 5-Star Sites, principally because of Susan Miller’s extensive – and free – monthly sun sign horoscopes. I make a point of stopping by her site at the beginning of every month, and suggest you do too. In my case, I am drawn to her horoscopes not so much because of what she says is coming up astrologically (I know that) but because of her interpretation of the astrological trends, which I always find insightful. Her soft-cover, full-color astrological reports, while expensive, are the most handsomely packaged personal horoscopes that I know of, and make a fine, thoughtful gift.

Some sites are closely identified with one or more famous astrologers. The largest sites tend to have teams of astrologers.  Susan Miller, one of the best-known astrologers in the United States. Her Astrology Zone site was launched in 1995 and now gets 6 million unique visitors every month. In addition, she writes monthly contributions for InStyle and CosmoGirl! In the US and Eve magazine in the UK, and appears frequently on television in the States.

I encourage you to explore non-Western astrological traditions, and compare your non-Western horoscope to your Western horoscope. Chinese horoscopes are popular in the West right now.  Western Astrology

My bias – an astrology site should be well-organized, well-maintained and easy to understand, with good writing.  

  • Key to Susan Miller’s popularity is her ability to communicate, specifically to explain sometimes-complex astrological concepts in clear language that we can all understand. This alone makes her work significant, but her openness and sense of compassion can give you the impression that you know her personally if you spend enough time reading her horoscopes and trawling her site.
  • Susan’s site has a lot of free information on astrology, including good articles explaining astrological symbols, a Matchmaker by Sign calculator, and recommended astrology book list.
  • Susan is a one-woman cottage industry, whose daily sun sign horoscopes are available via email ($5 per month) or SMS or Sprint TV. How does she do it all?
  • Everything about Susan Miller’s operation, including her web site, is high quality and professional.

No site is perfect. And if a site is really bad, I won’t even review it.  I sometimes wonder how men would respond to Susan’s writing style.  You guys will have to write in and let me know.
